Our Story
From One Apartment to a Growing Hospitality Brand
CEFA Residence began with a simple idea and an unexpected opportunity.
During the COVID-19 period, our founder, Fahad Alshugair, was operating a retail business in Riyadh. As business conditions changed, a new opportunity emerged in Saudi Arabia's developing private tourist accommodation sector.
What began with a single apartment as a six-month experiment quickly exceeded expectations.
The strong demand for flexible, short-term accommodation demonstrated that guests were looking for something different: comfortable spaces, greater privacy, convenient booking, and reliable service.
That first apartment became the beginning of CEFA Residence.
As demand increased, we expanded our operations into additional accommodation in Riyadh and developed a more professional approach to reservations, guest communication, housekeeping, check-in, and property management.
Today, CEFA Residence continues to grow with the same principle that guided us from the beginning:

The Story Behind CEFA
Every brand has a story. Ours started with an unexpected little guest.
During the early days of preparing our first apartment, we discovered a small kitten hiding underneath the bed.
We decided to care for him and named him CEFA.
A few months later, after expanding into another property, we found another kitten and named him CEFO.
They became part of the early journey of our business and remain a meaningful reminder of where CEFA Residence started.
The name CEFA came to represent something much bigger to us — care, warmth, hospitality, and new beginnings.
Those same values continue to influence the experience we want to provide to every guest who stays with us.
